Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
MyBlock helps you manage personal blocks (tasks, notes, reminders, meetings, ideas) and optional Social features. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data (Social only): display name, email, optional phone number, sign-in provider.
- App content: blocks, settings, and Social group metadata you create.
- Permissions-based data: calendar, contacts, and files only when you enable related features.
- Diagnostics: basic app error events to improve reliability.
2. How We Use Data
- Provide core planning features and optional Social collaboration.
- Sync data across devices where enabled.
- Show contact labels in Social using your saved phone contact names when available.
- Prevent abuse and protect account and group integrity.
3. Social Is Optional
You can use MyBlock without creating a Social account. Social account creation/sign-in is requested only if you choose to use Social features.
4. Local Data and Logout
Personal local blocks stay on your device unless you remove them. If you sign out of Social, Social-shared blocks are hidden. You can enable "Clear Social data on logout" in Settings to remove Social data from the device.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with services needed to provide app functionality (for example, authentication, hosting, and sync infrastructure).
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is 100% secure, so keep your device and credentials protected.
7. Your Choices
- Edit Social profile fields (display name, email, phone) in Settings.
- Disable permissions (contacts/calendar/files) at device level.
- Sign out of Social and optionally clear Social data on logout.
